Helmet

Some objects likely circulated only within royal circles. For example, in central Frisian Hallum, two comb fragments from a so-called crest helmet have been found.

We can trace such helmets back mainly to 6th- and 7th century Sweden. The helmet from these fragments in particular likely found its way to Frisia via diplomatic contact between high elite.
