Drinking glass

There must have been heavy drinking and toasting during feasts. This is how diplomatic relations were established and consolidated. This type of 'sturzbechers' had to be drunk completely before they could be put down, upside down.

The surviving examples we have today were found in burial grounds, remaining remarkably well preserved.
