Kidney-shaped pendant

Kidney-shaped pendants are mainly found along Frisia's coastline.

Citizens from Frisia literally embodied their faith with such pendants, as evidenced by the stylized depictions of the high god Woden and his two ravens. The two spirals would be two stylized raven beaks curling inwards, but also Woden's curled moustache.

On the other hand, modern Frisians could recognize something else in it: the image of a pompeblêd, the Frisian word for an aquatic plant leaf also found on the Frisian flag. It is speculative, but perhaps these kidney-shaped pendants are predecessors of the symbols on the Frisian flag. Either way, remarkable.

In MythWatch; the Age of Redbad, a Mythmaker's Resolve is depicted after these kidney-shaped pendants.
